Van Dhan Yojana – PM Scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Launched Van Dhan Yojana on 14th April 2018 in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Under this scheme one Van Dhan Vikas Kendra will set up in every state of India. Van Dhan Vikas Kendra provide Self Help Groups of thirty tribal gathers each. The government of India will provide training to Tribal people. The training centres will provide help to increase income of Tribal people for goods they collect from forests.
Benefits of Van Dhan Yojana
First center under the Van Dhan Scheme has been set up in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. In Van Dhan Vikas center, provision of training of skill development has been provided to 300 youth of tribal class. Under Van Dhan Yojana, information related to the prolific processing unit and value addition of crops will be given as well as training of tamarind, mahua storage, balaning and packaging of tribal youth. So, their efficiency will increase and forest wealth and tribal wealth will be fully utilized in the development of the country.
Key Points of Van Dhan Yojana
- Selection of training for tribal youth under Tripura (TRIFED) with the help of self-help group (SHG) under Van Dhan Center Scheme.
- Under the one fund scheme, a total of 3 thousand forest centers will be set up in tribal districts across the country.
- In each center, self-help groups of 10 ethnic groups will be constituted, each group will include 30 members.
- The members of the Self Help Group’s leadership group will also sell their products outside their state and state. For which training and technical support will be provided by Trifid.
